SIA GRIFS AG processes personal data in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (further referred to as the Regulation), as well as any other applicable law of the Republic of Latvia.

This privacy policy explains how GRIFS AG processes the personal data of private individuals, the procedure for enforcing the rights of data subjects, as well as the matters pertaining to personal data protection. This GRIFS AG privacy policy extends to all types of personal data processing carried out by GRIFS AG.
Purpose and legal grounds of personal data processing
GRIFS AG mainly processes personal data for the following purposes:
- Staff management and records
- Accounting
- Circulation of news
- Customer service processes
- Prevention of illegal activities
Legal grounds of personal data processing
GRIFS AG processes personal data according to the following legal grounds:
- Consent of the data subject
- Conclusion or fulfilment of a contract
- Fulfilment of duties set by legal regulatory documents
- Enforcement of legitimate interest
Right to revoke the consent of the data subject
If a data subject has issued their consent to the processing of their personal data, and such processing has begun, the data subject has the right to revoke such processing. To do this, the data subject must submit an application to SIA GRIFS AG, at Riga, Ulbrokas iela 42G, LV-1021. The application form (F05-01-78) can be obtained by contacting the office manager, 67813710, e-mail: info@grifsag.lv.
Revocation of consent does not affect the data processing that was carried out when the Client’s approval was still in effect.
Revocation of consent does not interrupt any data processing carried out on other legal grounds.
Personal data storage duration
GRIFS AG stores personal data in accordance with the goals of personal data processing and the legal grounds for it, as defined above, as long as at least one of the following criteria applies:
- GRIFS AG has a legal obligation to store the data;
- GRIFS AG must enforce its legitimate interests;
- GRIFS AG must fulfil its contractual obligations;
- the data subject has issued their consent to the processing of the data in question.
Cookies
A cookie is a text file that is saved on the computer of the website user via their internet browser, in order to improve the operation of the website. Cookies help us recognise your computer. Cookies enable you to avoid entering your login details again when you return to the GRIFS AG website and want to use the sections that require you to sign in.
Why GRIFS AG uses cookies
GRIFS AG uses cookies to do the following:
- manage sessions and authenticate users
- provide website functionality
- obtain statistical data about the flow of website users, including the number of visits, and the total time spent using the website
- improve the efficiency of the website
The server that accommodates the GRIFS AG website registers the queries sent by the website users (including the addresses visited, the device and browser used, the IP address, and the access time). These data are only used for technical purposes, i.e. ensuring that the website works correctly and is secure. GRIFS AG’s legal basis for such personal data processing is legitimate interest.
GRIFS AG does not use cookies to track the habits of its users, which is why GRIFS AG warns you about the use of cookies, but does not require you to consent to the saving of the cookies, in accordance with the law.
Third-party cookies
The GRIFS AG website may contain third-party cookies, in particular those of Google Analytics. The Google Analytics tool is provided by Google Inc. (a US company), which has access to the statistical data collected by this tool.

Visitors of the GRIFS AG website can delete all the cookies stored at their computers, and can configure their browsers not to save them. In this case, the choice not to save cookies must be manually specified every time you visit the GRIFS AG website, although some of its services and functions may be disabled as a result.
Recipients of personal data
GRIFS AG may transfer such information to third persons in situations specified by the law. GRIFS AG may, furthermore, use external services to improve the efficiency of its services.
Personal data are not transferred to third countries.
Data subject’s access to their personal data, and other rights
To obtain more information about their personal data, the data subject must submit an application to SIA GRIFS AG, at Riga, Ulbrokas iela 42G, LV-1021. The application form (F05-01-78) can be obtained by contacting the office manager, 67813710, e-mail: info@grifsag.lv.
The data subject has the right to request that the personal data be deleted and their processing be restricted, to object to the processing of the personal data, and to request corrections to the personal data in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation, by submitting an application.
The information requested may only be received in person at the GRIFS AG office, with a personal ID.

If you believe that your rights to personal data protection have been breached, you may submit a complaint to the personal data supervisory authority that has jurisdiction in the area of your residential address.
